Are you looking for sun shading that truly blocks heat, but unsure which type of Sun Eclipse screen to choose? In this blog, we’ll help you decide.
We’ll explain the difference between Maximum Sunblock and Optimal View, so you can easily determine which option best suits your space, preferences, and needs.
At Sun Eclipse, you can choose between two types of sun shading screens, both mounted with our special suction cups, so no drilling or screws required. They are suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation and are fully made to measure.
The choice mainly depends on how much heat you want to block and how much natural light you want to keep.
Do you mainly use the space during the day and want to keep natural light? Then Optimal View is the better match. These screens block up to 85% of heat when installed on the outside, while maintaining a bright and open atmosphere.
Optimal View is ideal for spaces such as living rooms, extensions, kitchens, or conservatories, areas where you want to keep things light and open, but still stay cool. Even when installed on the inside of the window, you’ll notice a clear temperature difference, especially when choosing a lighter color like White or Boulder.
Up to 97% heat reduction with Maximum Sunblock screens
Do you want to keep as much heat out as possible, for example in a bedroom, kids’ room, or home office? Then Maximum Sunblock is the best choice. When installed on the outside, this screen blocks up to 97% of heat. Even when mounted on the inside, the effect remains noticeable.
This type of screen allows less light to pass through, creating a cooler and more calming space. Ideal if you want to work without distractions, avoid harsh sunlight, or sleep comfortably in a pleasantly cool room.
The screens are also low-maintenance, easy to install, and simple to remove when autumn arrives.
Whether you live in a owned or rental property, with Sun Eclipse there’s no need to drill or make permanent changes to your window frames. Our screens are attached with strong suction cups to any flat window and stay in place, even during summer storms.
When the warm days are over, you can easily remove and store them in the included box.
For indoor use, we recommend a lighter color such as White or Boulder, as these absorb less heat. For outdoor installation, you can choose from five colors: White, Boulder, Concrete, Anthracite, and Black.
Each screen comes with matching caps in the same color, ensuring a clean and seamless look.

Both types of screens are effective, durable, and easy to install. The main difference comes down to your preference: if you want maximum heat protection and a darker room, choose Maximum Sunblock. If you prefer cooling while keeping light and your view, go for Optimal View.
In both cases, you’re guaranteed a no-drill solution, fully made to measure and reusable for years.

At Sun Eclipse, we continually strive to provide our customers with the best possible support. For this reason, we have collected and answered the most common questions in our FAQ. This way, you can easily find answers to all your questions.
Sun Eclipse screens and suction cups stay put even during a spring storm. Our screens catch little wind because they are close to the windows and the suction cups are designed to last.
No, the screens are UV-resistant and hardly fade. Both the fabric and the suction cups are designed to withstand prolonged exposure to sunlight without noticeable loss of quality or appearance.
Thanks to a special coating, the colors stay vibrant for longer and dirt hardly adheres to the surface.
In practice, the screens remain in excellent condition season after season, especially if you clean them once a year and store them clean and dry after the season. This way, they last for many years with minimal fading.
Because Sun Eclipse screens are placed 2 cm from the window’s surface, the screens are supplied with 1.5 cm excess fabric on each side (3 cm per width and height). As a result, the screens close properly and no heat and light can pass through the edges.
You can also opt for no excess fabric, for instance, if you have high square upright edges on your window frames. In this case, choose under ‘which type of frame do you have’ the option ‘Deep and angled’ when you order.
You can request any other changes in the order option. This way you can create a custom sunshade.

No, the suction cups do not leave any permanent marks or damage on the glass. They attach using a strong vacuum to the smooth surface, without any adhesives or chemicals. After removal, you may occasionally notice a light residue, for example from dust or condensation. This can be easily cleaned with the Sun Eclipse Cleaner and a clean cloth.
