There are obviously many reasons why it can become unbearably warm in the attic during hot summer days. But one of the main causes is the light coming in through your attic window or dormer. It is also often a pain in the ass to install something like blinds on these windows to keep the heat out. With Sun Eclipse’s heat-blocking screens, you can easily block the heat on hot days, so your attic no longer becomes a sauna at times when you just want the coolness.
Very simple actually. Sun Eclipse screens are specially designed, to be installed quickly and easily on hot days. Want to leave them hanging longer? Of course you can do that too. Depending on the type, you can keep out up to 97% of the sun’s heat. You easily attach the blinds with specially designed suction cups. Thanks to their design, they develop extra suction on your window. This keeps the screens firmly in place. Even when the wind is beating down on your roof. Another advantage is that you can choose screens along the inside or outside of your window. So you no longer need to go up on your roof at all if you want to make it cooler inside.

If you want to keep out the heat in the attic, you can choose between Maximum Sunblock and Optimal View. Depending on your choice, you will either keep the heat out even better or maintain a perfect view outside. As the temperature prevails in the attic, we recommend Maximum sunblock. But the choice is of course up to you, and we are happy to help:
For rooms where you want to keep the heat out as much as possible, such as your attic, bedroom, children’s room or home office, Maximum sunblock is the best choice. This sunblock darkens just a bit more, keeping the heat out optimally.
Would you still prefer to continue enjoying a perfect view? Then Optimal View is the best choice for you. These screens are more transparent and still keep most of the heat out.

Sun Eclipse screens and suction cups stay put even during a spring storm. Our screens catch little wind because they are close to the windows and the suction cups are designed to last.
No, the screens are UV-resistant and hardly fade. Both the fabric and the suction cups are designed to withstand prolonged exposure to sunlight without noticeable loss of quality or appearance.
Thanks to a special coating, the colors stay vibrant for longer and dirt hardly adheres to the surface.
In practice, the screens remain in excellent condition season after season, especially if you clean them once a year and store them clean and dry after the season. This way, they last for many years with minimal fading.
Because Sun Eclipse screens are placed 2 cm from the window’s surface, the screens are supplied with 1.5 cm excess fabric on each side (3 cm per width and height). As a result, the screens close properly and no heat and light can pass through the edges.
You can also opt for no excess fabric, for instance, if you have high square upright edges on your window frames. In this case, choose under ‘which type of frame do you have’ the option ‘Deep and angled’ when you order.
You can request any other changes in the order option. This way you can create a custom sunshade.

No, the suction cups do not leave any permanent marks or damage on the glass. They attach using a strong vacuum to the smooth surface, without any adhesives or chemicals. After removal, you may occasionally notice a light residue, for example from dust or condensation. This can be easily cleaned with the Sun Eclipse Cleaner and a clean cloth.
