The caps are supplied in the colour of the screens. For example, if you order the colour “White” you will receive the caps in the same colour. We have a matching colour cap for every screen.
Sun Eclipse sunscreen suction cups can withstand harmful UV rays from the sun and last for many years.
We offer “Optimal view” sunscreens that only slightly obstruct the view to the outside, for rooms where the outside view is preferred. These screens have very good heat-resistant properties with an optimal view and are often chosen for rooms where natural daylight is preferred, such as living rooms and kitchens. Turning on a lamp during the day is not necessary.
We offer “Maximum sunblock” sunscreens for areas in which maximum heat protection is important and a view of the outside is not necessary. With Maximum sunblock, you can block most of the heat and still keep some view of the outside. This screen is often chosen for rooms where maximum sun protection is preferred, such as bedrooms, offices with computer screens, and bathrooms. You will often have to turn on a light if you stay in rooms with maximum sun protection screens.

No. Sun Eclipse sun protection screens can be placed on all shapes of flat glass only.

In principle, we can create screens for almost any shape — including skylights. In most cases, it’s best to order one screen that covers all windows. See the examples below for reference. For this application, we recommend choosing the color White in the Maximum Sunblock variant — all examples use this combination.
You can easily order custom shapes via our ordering page. In step 3, select the option “custom size.” Enter the maximum height and width of your window. For the width, it’s best to measure it in one go to avoid deviations. Measure between any rubber seals or edges — this ensures the suction cups will be positioned correctly on the glass.
After that, you’ll have the option to upload files. We recommend uploading a sketch with dimensions of the skylight, along with a photo of the actual situation. This gives us all the information needed to create a technical drawing of the screen, ensuring the suction cups are perfectly positioned on the glass.
We’ll review this drawing with you, and once you give full approval, your order will go into production.

No, the screens are UV-resistant and hardly fade. Both the fabric and the suction cups are designed to withstand prolonged exposure to sunlight without noticeable loss of quality or appearance.
Thanks to a special coating, the colors stay vibrant for longer and dirt hardly adheres to the surface.
In practice, the screens remain in excellent condition season after season, especially if you clean them once a year and store them clean and dry after the season. This way, they last for many years with minimal fading.
No, the suction cups do not leave any permanent marks or damage on the glass. They attach to the smooth surface using a vacuum seal, without glue or chemicals.
After removal, a slight imprint may sometimes be visible, for example due to dust or condensation, but this can be easily cleaned with the Sun Eclipse cleaner and a clean cloth.
Our suction cups are 3.5 cm high. It may be that the sliding door cannot be opened with the suction cup on the window. If you take this into account, a Sun Eclipse screen is an ideal heat-blocking solution! If there is not enough space, you could consider placing a Sun Eclipse screen on the inside of the window.
There is a difference in the heat-resistant effect between the different colours. For outdoor installation, choose a dark colour, such as Black, Anthracite or Concrete. These will resist the heat better and provide more visibility to the outside compared to a light colour. For the inside, we recommend choosing the colour White or Boulder.
Preferably choose a colour that suits your home and taste. This increases the chance that you will leave your Sun Eclipse screens on all summer.
Sun Eclipse screens do not stretch or tear, even when exposed to heat. Sun Eclipse screens can withstand intensive use and weather conditions such as rain, hail, snow, UV light, and wind.
The vast majority of customers choose a colour based on information on the website. The different colours have been chosen in such a way that there is little overlap and so many people can make a choice easily.
We send samples on request. This way you can compare colours and view them in the vicinity of the window.

The exact efficiency of Sun Eclipse screens depends on many factors. That is why it is not possible to indicate exactly how many degrees the difference will be.
In addition, temperature is relative. As humans, we mainly compare the outside with the inside and one space with another. We also find different temperatures comfortable in every season. In short, temperature is not an exact science.
What we do know, and all our satisfied customers as well is that you will notice the difference, probably already on the first full day that the screens are up. Or if you are visiting neighbours who don’t have screens in a similar room.
If you still have doubts, order Sun Eclipse screens for the room that gets the hottest. For example an attic room. For maximum effect, mount the screens on the outside of the window.
Sun Eclipse suction cups can be mounted on any type of flat glass. They don’t stick on glass with relief, foils, etc.
No, this is not possible due to temperature differences in the window, which can cause a risk of thermal breakage.
You install the screens in the spring and dismantle them in the autumn. You can then store everything neatly in the supplied storage box.
Yes, absolutely. Simply follow the steps in our ordering tool. We recommend choosing Maximum Sunblock in the color White.
Please make sure that the extra 1.5 cm overlap on each side doesn’t interfere with closing the window. If this does cause an issue, you can order the screen as a “custom size.”

If this is difficult to measure now, you can stick an empty toilet roll on the window that is 3.5 cm high. This way you can see if it hits the screen.
You can also install Sun Eclipse screens indoors. For example, if you cannot easily reach the outside of the window. The screens’ heat-resistant properties are lower if you place the screens on the inside than when you place the screens on the outside. When screens are placed on the inside, light colours are better at repelling the heat than dark colours. If you choose to place the screens indoors, choose the colour White or Boulder.
Everything you need to install your Sun Eclipse sunscreens and store them during the winter. The correct number of suction cups, the caps in the colour of the screen, the screen(s), the storage and shipping box, alcohol wipes and installation instructions.
Sun Eclipse screens and suction cups stay put even during a spring storm. Our screens catch little wind because they are close to the windows and the suction cups are designed to last.
The suction cups are a maximum of 100 cm apart. If your screen has a length and/or width that is larger, an extra suction cup is placed halfway so that the maximum distance between two suction cups, measured along one side, is never greater than 100 cm.
Sun Eclipse screens are made of sustainable material, last a long time and ensure lower energy consumption when using air conditioners. It is the simplest solution to indoor heat.
Because Sun Eclipse screens are placed 2 cm from the window’s surface, the screens are supplied with 1.5 cm excess fabric on each side (3 cm per width and height). As a result, the screens close properly and no heat and light can pass through the edges.
You can also opt for no excess fabric, for instance, if you have high square upright edges on your window frames. In this case, choose under ‘which type of frame do you have’ the option ‘Deep and angled’ when you order.
You can request any other changes in the order option. This way you can create a custom sunshade.
Sun Eclipse is an affordable indoor heat solution. That’s why we are online only. By letting the customer do the measuring and assembly, we keep costs, and therefore prices, low.
Yes, in most cases this is possible. The screens are mounted with suction cups and sit about 2 cm away from the glass. If the muntins are less than 2 cm thick, the screen will fit over them without any issues.
If the muntins are thicker than 2 cm, please contact us so we can look for a suitable solution.
Please note: for windows wider than 100 cm, an extra suction cup is added in the center by default. For widths over 200 cm, two additional suction cups are evenly distributed. If a muntin runs through the center, a suction cup may end up on it.
In that case, you can order the screen as a “custom size.” You can indicate this during ordering, and we will adjust the suction cup positions so they don’t align with the muntins.

Yes. With suction cup sun shading, the screen is always attached directly to the glass, not the uPVC frame. The vacuum suction cups adhere perfectly to the smooth glass surface, making drilling or screws completely unnecessary — and keeping your frames undamaged.
You measure the window yourself and easily install the screen on the glass, without tools or a professional.
Because the screen sits about 2 cm away from the glass, sunlight is blocked before it enters the room. If you use a light-colored screen, most of the heat is reflected, meaning the screen itself barely heats up and doesn’t release warmth into the room.
Then choose “Shallow and/or slanted”
With proper maintenance, you will enjoy your purchase the longest. Therefore, use our special Sun Eclipse cleaner. This special cleaner cleans and de-stains the screens and gives them a fresh look. It is also possible to make the suction cups grease-free and to clean the windows with the cleaner. When ordering your screen, you will see the option “with Sun Eclipse cleaner” at the bottom.
Mounting Sun Eclipse screens with the suction cup is very easy. The screen is supplied with mounting holes, finished with grommets, and comes with the correct number of suction cups.
All you have to do is place the suction cups on the canvas, then place the suction cups on the window, and finally tighten them.
Is your screen not mounted properly after the first try? You can easily unscrew the suction cups and place them correctly.

The shipping costs of your Sun Eclipse screens are calculated according to the largest width or height in your order.

For a width or height smaller than 99 cm, the shipping costs are € 7.70. If both the width and height are larger than 99 cm but smaller than 174 cm, the shipping costs will be €11.30. If both the width and height of your screen are larger than 174 cm, the shipping costs will be €60.
Orders from Belgium/Germany
For a width or height smaller than 99 cm, the shipping costs are € 10.50. If both the width and height are larger than 99 cm but smaller than 174 cm, the shipping costs will be €14. If both the width and height of your screen are larger than 174 cm, the shipping costs will be €100.

Sun Eclipse provides a 1-year warranty on manufacturing defects. Manufacturing defects are highly unusual, but if you have found one, please contact klantenservice@suneclipse.nl and add a description and photos. If, after assessing the complaint, we find that it is indeed a manufacturing defect, we will replace the relevant screens or suction cups at our expense. We will discuss the possibility of returning the screens in consultation.
